Overview
This portfolio entry I sound designed all of the sounds for the 3d first player game called "Intruder". In the game, a soldier dressed in a space age armor wakes up in a corridor. He enters into the next section which is an engineering area filled with computer stations and rectors. He notices another door. He goes through the door into another corridor. At the end of the corridor is a MacGuffin Device which seems to be the main energy source of the spacecraft. After going to through the forcefield the player trips the alarm seems like he might be in trouble I hope the player is ready for the security that is being commanded to come to his location.
Sound design for this game involved me using household items like; an ironing broad, metal wire, alarm clock, work boots and various other items. I processed all of my recordings that I captured from my H5 Handy recorder into Pro Tools. I use various techniques like Elastic Properties, Varispeed, Filters, Frequency Shifters and others. I placed the assets (the recorded sounds) into the game environment by using reverb.
The next step was implementation. I used Wwise application to further mix the assets. Then I implemented the assets into the actual game. Here is the result of the gameplay videos I created. One is just the environment, one gameplay video is the player and game objects, one is the multilayered MacGuffin device and last but not least is the Final mix gameplay where all elements come together.
